Did you say 'Pumpkin Patch'?

To me, going to the pumpkin patch is MUST this time of year, and I was so excited when my mom, me, and my niece Zoey were able to go a couple of weekends ago. I have not been to a pumpkin patch is so long I can't even remember the last time! I think it was because my sister is five years older than me, and moved away to college so there wasn't really any point for me and my parents to go. But this year we got to take my niece Zoey who is 2 1/2, so you can already imagine the fun we had!

Here are some pictures that I snapped with my phone so sorry about the quality:

Can we talk about how gorgeous these pumpkins were?!
(Oh and there are my riding boots I talked about in a previous post! Eeek!)
 Silly Snow Cone pic duh!
 Holding her pumpkins

We of course saw a Minney Mouse cutout
and had to take her picture! She is
OBSESSED!
 Her saying "Cheeeeeeeese"!
 Can't leave without a strawberry
snow cone
"WEEEE"! She did not want to get off!
Couldn't resist a pic of these adorable baby pumpkins
Standing in front of the sign.
The patch is actually "The Old Time
Christmas Tree Farm" which is where you can
go chop down your own tree when it comes to
that time of year, but they use it as a pumpkin patch as well!
And last but not least, how we all felt after leaving such
a fun, eventful day! Can't let go of your pumpkin Uh Uh!

I am so glad to have gone this year and we made so many amazing memories. It is times like these that I seriously cherish. Where my family and I can go out and do 'Holiday'-ish things! There is nothing better than some quality time with this little pumpkin of mine!

Have Your Cake & Eat it Too

Here are some that I am loving:

Skinny Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
Recipe is here
The website linked above is AMAZING for healthy recipes.
I always seem to find myself going to this website to get recipes for every meal!

Pumpkin Granola
Recipe is here
So good on top of a bowl of Vanilla Greek Yogurt and a hot cup of coffee! YUM!

PB&J with Apples & Strawberries
Now this isn't a recipe that I found, but
I thought I would share the simple lunch I had yesterday!
I never think to have a PB&J but boy was it good! Cut up 1 apple
and 6 strawberries and I was full after 1 half of the sandwich and a couple apple slices!
It is so crazy how before my dieting I would have finished this plate and then gone
downstairs for something more! YUMMY!

Healthy Carrot Cake in a Coffe Mug!

Recipe is here
Sorry for the bad quality in the first picture but I wanted to show you guys
how mine came out and obviously me holding it hehe
The bottom picture is the picture that was on the website, p.s. love this ladies website!
This was so easy to make and tasted delicious, I added a little but of real cream cheese
icing on top because the recipe was very low in cal, so why not?!

That is all for today, but check back right after this post
because I will be showing you a fun fall filled outing with my
mom and beautiful niece!

FALLing into the new season!

Ah, that is right. Fall is most definitely here!
This is by far my most favorite season out of the entire
year because of many reasons.
1. THE CLOTHES
2. The cooler weather
3. Halloween
4. The fall decor
5. Nature changes
6. PUMPKIN PATCHES
7. Many more!

Since I have lost weight and obviously are having to buy new clothes, you could only guess my excitement about buying new fall clothes! Over the years I never could really express my fall fashion sense and I could never wear what I really wanted to wear because the style that I would typically go for never looked good on my body type. BUT now...I am can finally wear fall clothes that I want to wear! (CLAPS LOUDLY) And that means 1 thing.
RIDING BOOTS! It might sounds silly to some other people but riding boots never fit my calves, (even the stretchy ones) but now I get to wear them! I have to usually go for some that are like 8 1/2 W which stands for 'wide' but I usually couldn't fit into those either! So you can you only feel my excitement. It really is the little things that come along with this Journey to a New Dee (; Here are some pictures of some of the fall fashion pins I have re- pinned on my pinterest board

I just love this deep wine color for Fall!
And this paired with one of favorites, lace.

I am in love with this outfit!
The orange color pants (which I now own!)
With the chambray shirt and infinity scarf.

I.AM.IN.LOVE. with this outfit! This
is seriously ME wrapped up into an outfit.
(Now if I could only afford Tory Burch!)

Anyway, it is all so exciting and I cannot wait for it to get colder so I can dress even cuter!

Now, for a little update on MY WEIGHT LOSS

I have still been eating completely clean, (well except the occasional cookie) SHH! It has been going well, and I really seem to find myself adapting to this new way of life. It has taken me this long to get the swing of things, but I think I am on my way to a new healthy lifestyle where I can now go out to eat at a restaurant and make a good decision off the menu. I used to go out to eat, and use the excuse "Well this is me treating myself going out to eat so I'm going to get what I want!" But I had to stop using that excuse, because I go out to eat with friends quite a bit! Instead of ordering the burger and fries, I will have a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fruit. Little changes here and there really do make all the difference.

I hope everyone enjoyed my post today and please comment down below if you have any recommendations of any yummy recipes or blogs I should follow!

MY NEW AND IMPROVED BLOGGY BLOG & All about Hair

EEP!
As you can tell, I FINALLY CREATED MY OWN HEADER!
And I could not be more in love with it!
I have really taken this blog into my own hands and am going to make it exactly how I want it to look!
This is just the beginning, I want to add a lot more and I will be switching out headers for the seasons, etc.

I really feel like I can express myself and really dive into my blog now (not that I wasn't before hehe)

Well today I am coming to you with information about my HAIR...

I have been needing to get my hair done for so long, and I have always just used the box dyes and everytime I end up hating it! So I am thinking with this new body of mine, I really want to change up my hair since that is probably the second if not the first thing someone notices about you when they first meet you. Kinda important! I am also very careful about using heat protectant and what not.

This is my hair now:
I call it 'mousey brown' I feel as if I have no specific color...
And even though my hair is curled in this picture, I do have really long hair!
Almost down the middle of my back (yikes!)

So here are some ideas about what I want the color to be:

AH! I just don't know what to do...
Comment down below and tell me which one you think I should do, dark or light?

And now for the cut, I think that I am going to go with this one:
I am just obsessed with the length and the layers <3

That is all for tonight! I am so happy to have my baby updated and looking good!

What's on my mind...

This post is not related to weight loss at all, so I apologize but I just feel the need to write down some of my feelings that are clogging my mind up...

Currently in my life, it might seem like I am on top of the world because of the weight loss and what not, but this depression has really gotten to me. Waking up every morning with the right mindset, and with the thought that "something wonderful is going to happen" is all good and dandy but when it comes down to it I am just straight unhappy. It has been like this for the past couple of months which I mentioned in a below post. I don't know if it is just every teenager my age that goes through this phase where nothing makes sense in life or if it is just me. I decided in the summer, that enough was enough and I was going to take the year 2013 as a year to completely reevaluate my life and make my mental and physical health top notch. So as I am sharing my weight loss journey with all of you, I also want to take the time to go through the journey of reevaluating my life and mental health with you all because "The Journey to a New Dee" doesn't only mean my outer appearance, but so much more than that.

One thing that I have noticed that came earlier this year, was my sense of what really is important in my life. Surrounding yourself with only positive and happy people is key to becoming successful yourself. And I know that might sound a little discomforting, but along with working hard, surrounding yourself with positive, and people who are in the same situation you are really helps you to bring out the best in each other.

Another thing that I have noticed, (enough of the heavy talk) is how different my sense of style and personality has changed. Okay, I am not going to lie to any of you because this is me opening up and finding out who I really am, but I used to be in the "party" crowd a couple of months ago and I was never home. I mean gone straight out of school until late at night hanging out with all of my friends which I thought was the most important thing in my life at the time. I did not have my priorities straight at all and was putting my friends infront of my physical health, and my mental health. Now it has definatly changed. I can't tell you good it feels to focus on myself for a change and I know that might sound selfish but in all honesty focusing on making myself better and only doing things I wanted to do is so refreshing! I have built and amazing strong relationship with my parents and my sister and beautiful niece and have realized alot about what is most important. If my relationship with my parents and family is off, my entire mood and way of living is off.

Anyway! Sorry about all of the blabber but I wanted to open up a little bit more about not only the physical changes that are happening in my life but the personal ones as well. And I by no means are better when it comes to my anxiety and depression but I know how to deal with a lot better now, now that I am becoming one with myself.

Thank you everyone who reads this blog, you are coming along this journey with me as well not just me! Stick around for this amazing journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Yes, you heard it right! Today I will be sharing with you my half way point before and after picture...I decided to post this picture on Instagram because I wanted to be an inspiration to people to lose weight and boy what a response I got! 141 likes and more than 30 comments telling me how proud they were of me, if that's not motivation I don't know what it is!

Before I show you guys my before and after, I would like to do a quick shout out to everyone who had stuck by my side since Day 1. My family first off who has to deal with me day in and day out and all of the drama and ups and downs I have put you through since this journey. Also to my close group of friends who not once showed little interest and not once have they told me to "Shh!" every time I talk about my diet. In other words thank you to everyone who has been supportive, without you guys I would be nowhere! And now here's the picture!
